Biographical information for our key employees is listed below. We are proud of our staff and all of their years of experience and service in the Community Association management field.
Ian M. ("Mac") Lawrence, CMCA®, AMS® - President
Mr. Lawrence's background includes over thirty-five years of corporate real estate, facilities and asset management, and residential and commercial property management. His most recent position included eight years of hands-on condominium association management experience as the Vice President and General Manager of VIP Property Management Company, the management division of Kopf Builders, located in Avon Lake, Ohio. In his capacity with VIP Management Company, Mr. Lawrence built the VIP business operations from a one person organization serving a handful of developer projects to a six person operation managing over 1,400 units plus several hundred single family homes and three recreational (pool and tennis) facilities. Mr. Lawrence elected to leave VIP in May, 1996 to accept the position of Vice President of Property Management for Carnegie Management and Development Corporation, a residential and commercial real estate development company located in Westlake. Mr. Lawrence organized The Lawrence Community Management Group in early 1997. Mr. Lawrence earned a BA in Business and Finance from Baldwin-Wallace College. Mr. Lawrence holds an Ohio real estate license and is a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA)® as prescribed by the NBC-CAM (National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers). Mr. Lawrence holds the AMS® (Association Management Specialist) designation and is working towards his PCAM® (Professional Community Association Manager) designation from the Community Associations Institute. Mr. Lawrence sits on the Board of the local Northern Ohio Chapter of CAI and was the 2009 chapter president. He presently resides in a Homeowners' Association and is Vice President of his Board. Mr. Lawrence is also a former condominium resident and owner.
Trevor M. Lawrence, CMCA® - Vice President & Association Portfolio Manager
Trevor Lawrence, who has fourteen years of Association management experience, is a 1995 graduate of Miami University with a BS in Marketing. Following his graduation, Trevor joined VIP Property Management Company as a property management assistant and spent nearly a year learning the business. Trevor joined Carnegie Community Management in July, 1996 as a Property Manager. He joined The Lawrence Community Management Group at its inception when it assumed all of the Carnegie Community Management accounts. He has met the required experience and educational requirements and has received his CMCA® certification. He has applied for and is in the process of receiving his AMS® designation from the Community Associations Institute.
David R. Pawlowski, CMCA®- Association Manager
Mr. Pawlowski joined the company in early 2002 as an Association Portfolio Manager. Dave's background includes condominium ownership, many years as a Board Member and Board President, and Manager of a self-managed Association. Dave has an engineering background with experience in most building and maintenance trades, contractor relations, pool operations and Association finances including budgets, assessments and reserves. Dave has met the necessary experience and educational requirements and has been awarded his CMCA® certification from the Community Associations Institute. Mr. Pawlowski presently resides in a condominium community and serves on his Board and the adjacent Master Recreational/Pool Association Board.
George Gorman - Association Manager
Mr. Gorman joined the company in December 2011 as the on-site Association Manager for the Pioneer Ridge by Del Webb Community in North Ridgeville, Ohio. George brings a strong customer relations, operations, and construction management background with him that includes former employment experience with Forest City Properties, where he spent over seven years handling all aspects of several rental communities including leasing, facility management, construction project management and tenant relations. George's former responsibilities also included management for "over 55" properties. Although he is an onsite Manager, George lends assistance to other Managers regarding "over 55" community issues and regulations as well as on other customer service and building projects. George will sit for the M-100 course and the CMCA® designation exam in 2012.
Marianne Hirko - CMCA® - Association Manager
Ms. Hirko joined the company in April 2008 as an Association Portfolio Manager. Marianne brings nearly eight years of Association management background with her as she managed the growing portfolio of Associations for a local developer/builder. In addition to her background in new construction and Association management, she also spent a year working for an east side commercial landscaping contractor where she was an Account Manager. Her experience in the landscaping industry serves her well with her client Associations. Marianne has achieved her CMCA® certification.
Edward M. Fratus - Association Manager
Mr. Fratus joined the company in July 2012 as an Association Portfolio Manager. Ed brings nearly twenty years of Association management background with him as he actively managed HOA and condominium associations in the greater Cleveland and Akron areas for an east side based apartment and association management company where he oversaw the Community Association portfolio. Ed is a graduate of St. Edward's High School and attended Cuyahoga Community College where he concentrated in business. As a new member of our firm, Ed will sit for the M-100 course and the CMCA® designation exam in 2012.
Paula A. Jazwa - Office and Accounting Services Manager
Ms. Jazwa has over twenty years of Association operations experience. Ms. Jazwa spent over seven years with VIP Property Management Company and Carnegie Community Management as a bookkeeper/administrative assistant and later as Office Manager before joining the Lawrence Community Management Group. In her current position, she is responsible for all of the administrative operations for the client Condominium and Homeowners Associations. This includes all bookkeeping, accounting, payroll functions, general office, and customer service functions. Ms. Jazwa is very knowledgeable of the Condominium concept and the operating requirements of Associations. She also provides support services to many Associations as the acting recording secretary and registrar at annual Association meetings.
